Delete data in the SumScreen app
Open SumScreen on the device you want to manage. Make sure the device is online, then follow the relevant option below. Deletion requests cannot be undone.
If you only need to fix pairing or Screen Time access, try the steps on our support page first.
For a parent or guardian
Delete a child profile
- Open the parent view.
- Go to Settings, then choose the child.
- Select Delete child and confirm the warning.
This removes the parent-created child profile, its goals, progress, earnings and reward history, and paired child accounts from that family.
Delete the entire family
- Open Settings in the parent view.
- Select Delete and start over.
- Read the warning and confirm deletion.
If you own the family, this removes the family, profiles, goals, usage records, reward history, pairings, and family accounts. Another parent who does not own the family can leave it and delete their own account instead.
For a child device
- Open SumScreen on the child’s device.
- Open the child settings.
- Select Delete account and reset app, then confirm.
This deletes the anonymous account for that child device and clears its local SumScreen setup. It does not delete the parent-created child profile or the rest of the family. A parent can remove that profile from the parent app.
If you cannot open the app
Email privacy@sumscreen.app with the subject “SumScreen account deletion request.” Describe whether you are the family owner, another parent, or using a child device. Do not email pairing codes or sensitive information. We may ask for limited details needed to locate the data and verify that you are authorized to delete it.
What may remain
Deletion removes active data associated with the selected account, child, or family. Limited records may remain temporarily in backups or where retention is required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or law. They are not used to continue operating the deleted family.
